Note: this is a selective, application-only program as you will be expected to have some level of technical expertise to be able to work on and peer review conference papers (based on peer review opportunities shared by Jorge).

Your Instructor

Jorge Ortiz is an Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers University who also works as a quantitative analyst and computer vision consultant for the New York Yankees. He has over 2300 citations and has been published in top research journals and presented at top research conferences. He holds a PhD from UC Berkeley and a BS from MIT. He is also a Principal Investigator for the $26 million NSF Engineering Research Center and was recently awarded a $1 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop an AI-based platform.

What you'll get

1. Four sessions on how to write a conference-ready paper and on how to peer review. At the end of the four sessions, you will be expected to have written at least one conference-ready paper (which Jorge will review) and will have the skills to put together papers for top research conferences, journals, and technical publications.2. Access to peer review opportunities (Jorge will be sharing these opportunities as they come up during and after the course through a private group).If Jorge thinks you are a good fit for a peer review opportunity, he will recommend you as a reviewer for a paper or papers.3. Six months of access to the IndustryAcademics private group where you will see upcoming peer review opportunities (shared by Jorge) and also ask questions.
